These terms apply to the Brussels Academy website, live online training, digital publications and organisational technical support. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
1. Brussels Academy
The seller is Brussels Academy BV, enterprise/VAT number BE 0766.997.905. Contact us at office@brusselsacademy.eu or our registered office, Wijgmaalsesteenweg 100, 3020 Herent, Belgium.
2. Website information
We aim to keep information accurate and current. Website content is general educational information. It is not legal, financial or funding advice and does not guarantee eligibility, proposal success, funding, employment or a particular project outcome.
3. Training registration
The training page provides the title, date, Zoom schedule, language, price, trainer, programme and registration deadline. A place is confirmed only after Brussels Academy or its store issues confirmation and any required payment is received. Participants must provide accurate registration details and a working email address.
4. Prices and payment
Prices and applicable taxes are shown before payment. Online orders may be administered through WordPress and WooCommerce, with payment processed by Mollie or another provider shown at checkout. The payment provider’s secure environment handles payment-card details.
5. Consumer withdrawal rights
Consumers normally have 14 calendar days from concluding a distance service or digital-content contract to withdraw without giving a reason. Notify office@brusselsacademy.eu with your name, order reference and a clear withdrawal statement. Mandatory withdrawal rights take priority over the cancellation charges below. If you expressly request a service to start during that period, only a lawful proportionate charge for work supplied may apply; loss of the right after full service performance requires the applicable prior consent and acknowledgement. Digital books are supplied as PDF downloads. Immediate delivery requires separate express consent and acknowledgement that the withdrawal right is lost once delivery starts; we confirm that choice in the order email. Rights concerning faulty or non-conforming digital content remain unaffected.
6. Cancellation by a participant
A cancellation must be sent in writing to office@brusselsacademy.eu. It is treated as received when it reaches that inbox. Unless mandatory law provides a stronger right, the following amount of the training fee is charged or retained:
| Cancellation received | Fee charged |
|---|---|
| More than 21 calendar days before training | 40% of the training fee |
| 14 to 21 calendar days before training | 50% of the training fee |
| 7 to 13 calendar days before training | 70% of the training fee |
| Fewer than 7 calendar days before training | 100% of the training fee |
7. Postponement
Brussels Academy may postpone a training when fewer than five participants are registered or when the trainer is ill and cannot deliver the scheduled session. Registered participants will be informed using the contact details supplied during registration. Brussels Academy will offer two alternative training dates within the same calendar year. A participant who cannot attend the first replacement date may select the second. This clause does not limit rights that cannot legally be excluded.
8. Live online participation
Participants are responsible for a suitable device, reliable internet connection and access to Zoom. Joining instructions are for registered participants and must not be shared. Participants must behave professionally and must not record a session without written permission.
9. Materials, certificates and intellectual property
Training materials, recordings, templates, publications and website content are protected by intellectual-property law. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, a digital book licence permits personal use by the purchaser; redistribution, resale and public sharing are not permitted. PDF access requires a compatible PDF reader and the purchaser’s account. A certificate is issued automatically after the course records successful completion and the participant’s verified training access remains valid.
10. Organisational support
The needs assessment, scope, timetable, client inputs, confidentiality, fees and responsibilities for organisational support are agreed in writing. Brussels Academy provides technical guidance and capacity building. The client remains responsible for strategic decisions, final proposal submissions, project obligations and reporting.
11. Changes and circumstances beyond control
Brussels Academy may make reasonable changes to a trainer, timetable or delivery detail when necessary while preserving the essential training content. Neither party is responsible for delay caused by events beyond reasonable control, subject to applicable law and any duty to reduce the impact.
12. Liability
Nothing excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded. To the extent permitted by law, Brussels Academy is not responsible for indirect loss, lost funding opportunities or decisions made solely from general training or website information.
13. Privacy
Personal data is handled as described in the Privacy Policy. That policy explains website subscriptions and professional outreach using contact details from Apollo.io and email communications through NetHunt. Accepting these terms does not constitute consent to optional marketing. You can unsubscribe or object to marketing at any time using the link in a marketing email or contacting office@brusselsacademy.eu. This does not cancel your booking, account or access to purchased materials; necessary service messages may continue.
14. Complaints, law and disputes
Please send complaints to office@brusselsacademy.eu so we can try to resolve them. Belgian law applies, without removing any mandatory protection available to a consumer in their country of residence. Belgian courts have jurisdiction where legally permitted.
