This policy explains how Brussels Academy uses cookies and similar technologies on this website. A cookie is a small file stored by your browser. Some cookies last only for a session, while others remain until they expire or you remove them.
1. Strictly necessary cookies
These cookies support services you request, such as security, network delivery, session management, cookie preferences, checkout and learner login. They do not require optional consent, but we still explain their purpose.
2. Preference cookies
Preference cookies remember choices such as language or display settings when they are not strictly necessary. We use them only with consent where Belgian law requires it.
3. Analytics cookies
Optional analytics and WooCommerce marketing-attribution tracking are disabled in this website configuration. If analytics is introduced later, it must remain disabled until you give valid consent.
4. Marketing and third-party media
Marketing trackers and optional third-party media are not enabled on this website. Following a link to a payment provider or joining an external training service opens that service, which provides its own cookie information. Any future optional embedded tracker must require consent before loading. Our use of Apollo.io as a contact source and NetHunt for email communications is described in the Privacy Policy; it is separate from placing cookies on this website. Legitimate interests described in that policy do not replace consent required for optional cookies or similar trackers.
5. Your choices
The current website uses necessary service cookies rather than an optional tracking consent banner. You can browse ordinary pages without consenting to marketing or analytics. If optional cookies are introduced, you will be offered equally accessible accept, reject and category choices with no preselected optional choices. Browsing the website or accepting our Terms does not constitute consent to optional cookies.
6. Changing or withdrawing consent
You can delete or block cookies through your browser settings. Blocking necessary cookies can prevent sign-in, forms or checkout from working. If optional tracking is introduced, the website will provide an equally easy way to withdraw consent. Cookie settings do not subscribe you to or unsubscribe you from marketing emails. To stop marketing emails, use their unsubscribe link or contact office@brusselsacademy.eu.
7. Cookie register
Necessary first-party storage, used when the relevant function is requested: ba_form_session protects Academy forms and lasts for the browser session; woocommerce_cart_hash and woocommerce_items_in_cart support the basket and last for the session; wp_woocommerce_session_* preserves checkout state, normally for two days for visitors or seven days for signed-in users; wordpress_test_cookie checks login support and lasts for the session; wordpress_logged_in_* and wordpress_sec_* authenticate access, normally until the browser closes or up to 14 days when Remember me is selected; lp_session_guest supports a guest learning session for one day, and lp_csrf_token protects learning requests for one day. These are operated on Brussels Academy’s hosting, not for advertising. Names may contain a site-specific suffix. Administrative accounts can also receive WordPress settings cookies. We review this register whenever integrations change.
